A Man Called Ove

Just after reading first few chapters of this I understood why it's a very praised and famous book. For the first time I liked the detailed description given of every situation. It was slow music which we listen often in restaurant or elevator. Mostly people ignore it but when we give it attention we realise how soothing it is.

I laughed, wept, got angry and surprised with different situations. The simplest journey if narrated on point can hook the reader till the end. This book has proven it.

I like it how story transports back and forth whenever Ove remembers past. The cute neighbour woman, silent arrogent cat just like Ove and the over enthusiastic reporter girl are some of my favourite characters and of course Sonia is the one that can't be ignored.

The perception we have (or at least I used to have before) [about the rude or dull and silent people who never smile or talk more than required] will change after reading this. I personally have gone thorough such situations of betrail by people that I stopped relying on anyone and not open up emotionally at all.

Man are asked to be tough not just for sake of show off but for the survival & thriving purpose in life full of unpredictables ups & downs, betrails, devastating events. As people are happy inside house with family but outside world is not that easy.

Still I believe one can handle these situations and still be happy, jumpy, giggling, gossiping guys like kid with innocence. Krushna is the best role model and guru for that.

But coming back to Ove he is so cute and narrated so perfectly that one can't resist liking him. Every chapter was bang on with emotional ride of laughter, excitement and sorrow sentiments.

It doesn't matter what type of reader you are, you can not ignore this book. Its totally 💯 worth the hype.
