A Heart Full of Hope

Image
It was very difficult for me to write a spoiler free review but I managed somehow. So, there will less discussion around story but I will still talk story plot. It's really engaging and entertaining. Characters are also interesting. Personally I find it very disturbing when I think about person who went through situation of human trafficking which eventually lead to the prostitution. Coming out of it and getting ahead in life is very difficult especially when you are not supported by anyone. Ahana on the other side got whole new family after getting out of trap of trafficking. What happened next will be revealed to those who get the copy ASAP 🤭. Overall great enjoying experience reading it and if you also find engaging fiction attractive this book is for you. And the beautiful cover, compact size handy for travel read along with bigger font size are some of the plus points or additional advantages to be considered while choosing this.

Reboot

I was expecting journey of degree and job like all others but when I faced unexpected failure, it shook me totally. It was journey where I learnt to come out of such unexpected situations with better life than I may had in normal journey. It's very difficult task and mostly one doesn't achieve success as we see in movies. I am also not having such success yet but atleast to handle those situations and coming out of them is biggest achievement in itself. In life we know that we will do 10th, 12th then Degree and then Job with stable career growth. We know how to get success and continue for growth but how to handle break, turning or total U-turn in this career journey. We always have predefined path of school, college, job/business, merriage etc. But don't even know if other path is there until we face blockage in this journey. And then finding out different path or creating it, when not available, is most difficult task for most of the people. Don't worry so...

Concentration and Detachment

Image
The two most important things/concepts/skills required for all humanity. All students and now with social media everyone is facing the problem of concentration. But it is beyond the normal focus we talk about. Concentration is deeper concept which can change 360° view of life if one can grasp it as the way to live. The deepen the concentration goes the higher layers the life reveals to us. Detachment on the other hand is super power if one can possess, can have freedom from all the mental pain. Also can perform the task better with deeper concentration. As a student of life we can use these concepts as tools to live peaceful and successful life. This book is smallest of all I have and still took longest time compared to its size. As sometimes only few words are enough to explain the deepest & most compex subjects but one must be ready to pay full attention to every word and think about it regularly for long time to get real knowledge. The illustrations are on point. Au...

A Man Called Ove

Image
Just after reading first few chapters of this I understood why it's a very praised and famous book. For the first time I liked the detailed description given of every situation. It was slow music which we listen often in restaurant or elevator. Mostly people ignore it but when we give it attention we realise how soothing it is. I laughed, wept, got angry and surprised with different situations. The simplest journey if narrated on point can hook the reader till the end. This book has proven it.  I like it how story transports back and forth whenever Ove remembers past. The cute neighbour woman, silent arrogent cat just like Ove and the over enthusiastic reporter girl are some of my favourite characters and of course Sonia is the one that can't be ignored. The perception we have (or at least I used to have before) [about the rude or dull and silent people who never smile or talk more than required] will change after reading this. I personally have gone thorough such s...

Tales of simpler times

Image
First of all even though I have already shared a reel to show the beautiful Book; I need to mention how amazingly Book is designed. From the Book size to Font size and style, Book cover to illustrations everything is so pleasing and mesmerizing that I was just observing & feeling that for a long time. A story is memories of emotions experienced by people which are expressed via beautiful words wrapped up with meanings imitating those feelings. But all this works only when there is essence of truth in it.  Everytime we feel the story, we ultimately feel the emotions having common truth which we all share as Human and as Life itself. The same thing happens with this book. A collective experience of truth and emotions are shared by reades even if they are not from Mauritius. The praising words from the comments of facebook page provide proof to that. I'm in love with short stories. But when it is told with such simple and lucid narration I just become part of the story...

Be the Leader Not the Boss

Image
For the purpose of getting the knowledge of the culture and history I prefer the original Ramayan and Mahabharatas Itihaas. But when it comes to learning and picking up the good from everything, I acknowledge all the versions of them without any opinions about right & wrong or endless debates about how it should be... (society, rules, lifestyle etc.) Here, the book also focus on learning from Mahabharat and Ramayan, that too for the corporate world. The place where your most important task is to handle people. Especially when you are in the upper position or in leadership role. More than reading I was feeling like I am attending a seminar or talk in Institute about the topics of learning management skills from historical case studies. I just love the way discussion happened in book deeply with analysing different scenarios for a particular problem and situation. First I thought it'll be another book of management which takes inspiration from our Itihas for explainin...

A Face For You

Image
To be honest I didn't think I'll love any love story and get affected by it. But reading ‘A Face for You’ was an emotional rollercoaster ride for me. The honesty with which the writer portraits the story makes it more relevant for today's time. The smoothly written and smartly chosen vocabulary make it so interesting that every time I decided to stop, my mind was like just one more chapter please...🥺. I really liked the way main characters Itika and Aryan and even other smaller characters were given their proper place and due space in story. I also liked the fact that author used the Indian languages between the lines spoken by characters giving it Indian personal touch. And the story... It is amazing. The twist and turn with all emotions covered, it gave a wholesome experience. I generally don't feel the sadness or happiness in the story easily but here I was into the same effortlessly. Even if you like romance books or not, you will like this one.The smoo...

Deer in the Field of Venice

Image
☘️As the name suggests the book is having deep metaphorical meanings weaven in it. A love story which leads to the discovery of self and realisation of unheard and unseen life secrets. 🌿The story begins with a secret shared by a newly graduated student to Father Maurice, a man of undisputed faith and a teacher who follows the path of rules to be followed. The journey then takes us to the three sister cities in Italy.🇮🇹 🌱Rome, Florence and Venice were narrated by author in a way that we don't have to envision the beauty of it as we are already having it in front of our eyes of mind. 🍀The journey of Father Maurice is not just for the discovery of love between people around but the most important love within for self and realisation of the truth not yet discovered by him which makes him questions all his belief and thinking. 🪻The compassionate observation and telented writing skills of author serves us the hearth drenching and deeply spritual awakening ending of the...

The Song of Achilles

Image
This is I'm writting just after finishing the book. So, it is based on the period and society which was very different than now. That's why many find it not suitable for them. For me Story and storytelling is more important and it's really good in that way. I didn't found any character as a favourite one but all were interesting enough to read. The drama was bit more than I expected and the narration was way long sometimes for me. Describing the small details may lend someone into the world of the story but it was just sending me to bed as it was making me sleepy. At the end because I love Mythology I was interested in this till the end but it was more of kind of love story. The adventures or action were lesser than my expectations whether at the time of learning in school or while fighting at battle field. Overall it was a average read for me.

Legend of the broken blade

Image
⚔️Have you seen "The Witcher" series? Do you like the clash of clans? If answers are Yes then here is one of the gem for you. 🗡️This imaginary world takes us to the kingdoms with creatures unheard and who lives centuries. There are humans, too. And many more characters with lot of adventures. 🛡️This was best start 2023. I was not reading this but watching it. The praising words for the narration will not be enough to explain the experience I had.  ⚔️It's not an easy task to write lucid narration for stories like this but author archives the success of telling story in the normal speed with required details but without boring lengthy narrations.  🗡️I also liked the names as they were easy to remember which made the story more interesting to read which otherwise always spoil the mood for people like me who find difficulty in remembering them. 🛡️The twists were less but adventures were more and that made it simple yet effective read. The story smoothly went f...

MultiRealm (The Vedic)

Image
The story revolves around the characters of Bharatiya Sanatan Dharma-Puran.  There are three parallel lines of story going on which makes it more interesting and engaging read. Lucid narration with information and details give it depth required for making story plot and characters familiar. I like the style of storytelling and loved the details in war narration and suspence around the Shivling found on earth. I didn't find anything bad about the book as it was going on decent pace without any boring longer paragraphs. Without revealing any details I would just like to mention that it is really good book for fiction mythology lover.

Butterfly 🦋 Riddle

Image
The one package 📦 with diary and dead butterfly creating mystery which make you glued to the seat (bed in my case) and complete the full book in a seating.  Sounds funny?  Well, the story is also written in that funy manner which let us be engaged in it.  You can't resist yourself from flipping the pages to read little bit more & more & more and all of sudden you'll see only few pages are left only and so, you'll complete it anyway. The best part is there is over description of unnecessary stuff which make it fast paced suspence mystery book.  The characters are great which never overpower their limits in the story as required in any book but not present in most of them. Highly recommended to all the fiction and mystery lovers.

25 Lessons for Intellectual and Spiritual Freedom

Image
Within first few pages only I realised that it is deep & amazing book. So, I decided to sip it little bit everyday to enjoy it fully. 25 short sweet chapters in 25 days. My morning started with this. A beautiful thought which make me think about it whole day and It was totally worth it because it helped me realise what I have forgotten. I have read Geeta & Bhagvat Puran. And this small book resonate with those ideas fully. So, I got all those memories back which faded in time of wisdom and life. The way spirituallity and life is interconnected is told here perfectly. And even if it is told again and again I want to say it again; we should not wait to seek spritiuality till old age but start the journey in childhood only. Then only we can live peaceful and happy life which we all ultimately seeking. Instead of regreting in later years of life why didn't we try to find out the answers we were seeking deeply for in our mind whole life. The topics are devided in 3 s...

Before the Coffee gets Cold

Image
A very sweet nice and yet very emotional 🥺 stories which was unable to make me cry. Tbh I found stories which are unorganic in its creation. It is like you can feel that it is made up story. There are many fictions which you'll find real unless it is told as fiction even if there are unusal things like magic. But characters of these stories were amazing. I liked them all & only due to them I was able to complete the book.  So, in short character creation - Amazing🤩 but story plot and structure - 😒.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

Image
I really liked it. The suspence and twist every time really made me read it as soon as possible.I finished it early just due to that only 🙈. In first few chapters I was kind not connected with the writing style. But then as I learnt more about the story I felt attached and not only connected. I literally thought about the different possibilities of the end while doing other things. That's why I had to complete it fast to get out of thoughts😁. And I must say the end was unexpected and worthy waiting for. Thanks @paperback club for this picking up.

The Man who died twice

Image
So, finally I started my journer of reading book with some decipline with bookclub of @paperbacktalks (instagram) and my first book is this famous second part of The Thursday Murder Club series "The man who died twice". To be honest it was bit difficult for me as I started with this one. As I have not read the first part and there are many characters. I'm also good with remembering names unless I get familiar with the person/character. I just loved how it doesn't stick to the mystery and still don't deviate from that, too. It was like watching a series. I always like to learn from 50+ people as their experience and perspective about life gives so much clarity and insight that one can't get anywhere else. One angle of storytelling, where one of the character Joice writes diary, added as a chapter gave it new experience to me as this is the first book I read with this type of formate. Overall it was very good story with proper twist and turn. Never f...
